Cloud

At some point, your company will need a Cloud or a better Cloud. So, what exactly is a Cloud? A Cloud is essentially a server with a database accessible over the Internet. Tentacle’s Cloud servers are in data centers around the world. However, our main ones are in London.

The cloud allows your new application software to access similar files and applications from almost any device, as the computing and storage will take place on our servers. A clear advantage of cloud computing is when a user can log in to an account on a new device after their old one breaks and still find it in place, with all their data intact.

For Tentacle's clients, switching to cloud computing removes some IT costs and overheads. For instance, they no longer need to update and maintain their servers, as Tentacle’s staff based in Glasgow routinely maintain them.

This especially makes an impact for small businesses that may not have been able to afford their internal infrastructure but can outsource their infrastructure needs affordably via Tentacle’s cloud servers. The cloud can also make it easier for companies to operate internationally, as employees and customers can access similar files and applications from any location.
