Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a human's brain processes by machines, more specifically computer systems. AI requires specialized software that requires in-depth knowledge of multiple programming languages.

AI systems generally work by taking in large amounts of “training data”. This “training data” is specially designed to help the system analyze data properly and look for correlations and patterns.  An example is a chatbot, which is fed text messages that it can learn from to produce lifelike exchanges with people interacting with the software.

The team at Tentacle Solutions will work with you to ensure we can design your systems to take advantage of these AI functionalities. Our experienced team in Glasgow will demonstrate how AI is important for your new system. For instance, it helps perform repetitive, detail-oriented tasks by ensuring that repetitive data entry is handled. It can also help improve efficiency and ensure your company can focus on your operations and not waste resources on repetitive tasks.

AI programming is based on three cognitive skills:

- Learning

- Reasoning

- Self - Correction

AI can also be split into weak or strong. Weak AI, also known as narrow AI, is designed and trained to complete a specific task. An example of this is Siri.  Strong AI, also known as artificial general intelligence (AGI), is programmed to replicate the cognitive ability of a human brain.
